I'd be very surprised if the first home game isn't televised.

Very true. Conte's first in charge of the blue media darlings should be televised, although they will definitely also want to televise:
Leicester Arsenal v Liverpool Mourinho's first game Guardiola's first game
We could miss out.

BTW gents, does anyone have BT TV rather than Sky and what are your thoughts on it? (Thought I would ask here rather than set up a new thread!)
Reason I ask is that my half price Sky deal is coming to an end and BT quoted me a cheaper deal for Broadband Infinity 2, calls, BT TV with HD extra and a bolt on of Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 SD.
Basically I would pay less doing it that way than I do having my broadband and phone with BT and also having Sky which is how I have done it for the last few years. Obviously I have to pay a one off fee to have an aerial installed to get BT.
I am just not sure though how good BT TV is compared to Sky. I assumed the Sky Sports bolt on was in HD but it's come through as SD so not sure if I can get it in HD or if BT can't do it in HD and I read somewhere you can't get BBC, ITV etc in HD even with HD Extra which I find a bit odd so as I say anyone have BT TV instead of Sky and thoughts on the change?

you can only get BT in 2 rooms only in the house, if you have more than one box it jams and you have to reset.
pretty shit system really

First three games all on TV, I am told. Televised games confirmed by end of this week. This is what I was told to expect. No idea if it is right.
Chelsea away is a Saturday lunchtime.
Bournemouth home is 2pm on Sunday.*
City away is 4pm on Sunday.*
(*Both these games would be moved to Sunday anyway should we progress to the EL play-off round on 18 and 25 August.)

Not that it makes huge difference but think sky and BT have switched their sat matches.
Sky have the morning game with BT sat night.

I have BT TV - It's pretty no frills but you definitely can get terrestrial HD if you have a decent aerial. The Sky Sports SD thing is about price and BT-Sky contracts, not delivery, as BT Sport comes through your broadband in HD without a problem.

The thin to remember about BT TV (and YouView in general) is that all the Freeview channels come through your aerial and only the premium content comes through your internet connection.
